COSMETOLOGY COURSE SYLLABUS
Our 1500 hours cosmetology program is designed specifically to teach the time-honored profession of cosmetology. Upon completion of this program students are prepared for their State Board Exam. The purpose is to train the student in the basic skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes necessary to obtain a license and capability in the positions in this cosmetology industry.
Healthy Hair Care Beauty Academy offers complete classes in cosmetology. Objectives: Upon completion of the course requirements, the graduate will be able to:

Perform basic skills in cosmetology.

Practice effective commutation skills, visual poise, and proper grooming.

Understand barber shop ownership and business management.

Apply for Licensure at the State Board.
To ensure continued success, the graduate will continue to learn new and current information related to the cosmetology industry. The instruction methods shall include but are not limited to the following:

COSMETOLOGY CURRICULUM
The curriculum provides a complete course of study in Cosmetology culture. Theory instruction includes audio visual aids, lecture platform demonstrations and textbook assignment.
Cosmetology technicians, and/or ‘special classes’ for the student training program. In all classes, the principles are tested and perfected by the student in practical classroom activities. Practical training includes supervised performance on clinic patrons and mannequin practice.
The 1500 hours for Cosmetology Curriculum shall include the following:

Personal hygiene 5
Cutting the hair with a razor, clippers, and shear 400 Braiding 185

Basic facial massage or treatment 50
Sanitizing and maintaining implements and equipment; and honing and stropping a razor. 75
